Obituary for Mary Christia Hill

Mary Christia "Chris” Hill, 64-year-old lifetime Ketchum resident, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at the St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa. She was born on October 6, 1954 in Roswell, New Mexico to J.B. and Dorothy A. (Inman) Moore. Chris went to Ketchum Schools and was the City of Ketchum’s Administrator for 35 years. She married Lewis Hill on December 26, 2008 in Ketchum. Chris raised Yorkies and Bull Dogs as well. She enjoyed shooting pool, singing Karaoke and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter Malinda Haire.
The family includes; her husband Lewis of the home; her sons, Bennie McCord and wife Jolena of Big Cabin, C. J. McCord of Ketchum; step-children, Mark Hill of Satellite Beach, Florida, Kassie Hill-Pierce and husband Michael of Melbourne, Florida; her sisters, Jannetta Bryan, Cheryl Baker and Linda Baker all of Ketchum; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The graveside service will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Ketchum Cemetery, with Pastor Leon Landrum officiating. Online condolences may be made at or on the Burckhalter-Highsmith Facebook page. Arrangements are by the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Service, Vinita’s only locally owned funeral establishment.
