Obituary for Glenn D Osburn

Glenn Dale Osburn, 78-year-old Vinita resident, formerly of Enid, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Heartsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Vinita. Glenn moved to Vinita in 2013 from Enid. He was born on March 21, 1940 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Arvell and Fern (Marrs) Osburn. Glenn worked as a manager for Safeway many years, in Enid, Guthrie, Tonkawa and Pratt, Kansas. He later went into car sales for the Chrysler and Ford dealerships, then opened his own used car dealership for many years until he retired. Glenn was a great salesman, he had a good sense of humor and gift of communicating well with everyone. He also loved to go to garage sales, trade guns and just loved to make deals on anything he could.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Carol in 2009, a son, Curtis in 2012 and a brother Ralph Osburn.
The family includes: his son Wade Osburn of Enid; his daughter, Lisa Lambert and husband Buddy of Vinita; a sister, Linda Thomas of Stillwater; two grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Lambert.
The service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Enid, with OHP Chaplain Sam Garner officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral Home of Vinita. Online condolences may be made at
